| Once the Village House
restaurant, Manresa's location at 320 Village Lane is
an integral part of the rich history of Los Gatos. In
1966, when the Santa Clara Valley was carpeted with
apricot and prune orchards, Village House opened its
doors as a non-profit tea room. The restaurant was well
known for its gracious lunches, and was a popular spot
for weddings and receptions. Small, private gatherings
took place in The Copper Corner, a side dining room
that is now part of Manresa’s state-of-the-art
kitchen. For over 30 years, more than 250 Village House
volunteers generously donated their time cooking, serving,
and washing dishes in order make the popular tea house
a Los Gatos landmark.
