Jeff Bareilles. Wine and Beverage Director

Jeff is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and attended The Christian Brothers, Saint Mary’s College where he first became interested in wine. After graduating he moved to Los Angeles and then New York to study Photography and Fine Art; gaining his MFA from CALARTS and then granted admission to the prestigious Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program. Like many students he worked in restaurants to support his studies and it was during this time that his experience in wine and food merged with his interests in the arts.

 

Today Jeff is considered one of the region’s most innovative sommeliers, pairing unique wines with daring cuisine and has obtained particular notoriety for selecting wines that complement vegetables. He has been featured in Wine Spectator and Forbes magazine and is a regular contributor to Sommelier Journal. His expertise and efforts have earned Manresa Wine Spectator’s Best of Award for Excellence for four consecutive years.
